A brush fire damaged 25 acres in Waianae Tuesday afternoon including a basil farm.
The fire started near Lualualei Homestead Road just before 2:30 p.m. in an area that was difficult for firefighters to get to.
No homes were evacuated, but residents were still worried about their property.
“It came all the way up this hill. So it came pretty close. It almost burned our bees. This is the first one that spread all the way down,” Waianae resident Kainoa Aila said. “Because it is now not only near my house, but I’d say it is down a half-a-mile at least. There’s all smoke so I can’t see anymore.”
Officials say no homes were damaged and no one was hurt.
The fire was under control just before 6 p.m.
Investigators are working to figure out what caused the brush fire.
