KHON2 Sports has learned that tomorrow, the former University of Hawai’i All-American will spend his first day as a major leaguer, after being called-up to St. Louis.
Kolten, en-route to Chicago today, was the 2011 minor league player of the year for the Cardinals organization. He leaves AAA Memphis with a .303 batting average, 10 home runs, 23 doubles, 8 triples, 45 RBI’s, and 20 stolen bases.
The Cardinals are set to take on the Cubs in Chicago tomorrow at Wrigley Field at 10:05 am HST.
