A Haleiwa business owner wants his neighbors to beware of a burglar he says took from his shop then came back for more.
Jay Goldsman caught the initial burglary on surveillance video including the suspect’s face.
He made off with about $50 in cash from the register.
On Friday, the suspect came back to the shop again.
When the suspect came back a second time an employee called 911 and Goldsman jumped into action.
“He shoved me and right away he was trying to get a run for the door, so I wrapped him up in a headlock and choke and took him to the ground until the cops got there,” said Goldsman, One Love surf shop owner.
The suspect even bit Goldsman while trying to break free.
Police got to the scene and arrested the 32-year-old man for burglary, but he was released pending investigation.
Goldsman wants neighboring businesses to be on alert, while police continue to build their case.
