A U.S. Air Force pilot from Kailua is recovering from a plane crash in Montana.
Capt. Chad Nishizuka did not suffer life-threatening injuries, but the crash happened just months after his brother died in a plane crash in Afghanistan.
Nishizuka was one of four airmen who survived when a B-1 bomber crashed in Montana Monday during training.
Officials say they were safely ejected from the plane.
Chad’s brother, Capt. Reid Nishizuka, died in a plane crash in April while serving his fifth deployment in the Middle East.
The Air Force is investigating the cause of Monday’s accident.
