Future scientists will soon have a new place to hone their craft.
A blessing was held Thursday for the Oceanic Institute’s new learning center in Waimanalo.
It will help train and expand Hawaii’s workforce in aquaculture and agriculture by providing hands-on learning.
“The best thing about this new facility is clearly the location and the view, but a close second is the state-of-the-art analytical equipment that is contained within this building,” said Dr. Shaun Moss, with the Oceanic Institute.
The new facility also has the ability to connect with other researchers on the other islands as well as the U.S. Pacific.
