2 men arrested after gun fired in Nanakuli fight

Honolulu police arrested two men in Nanakuli following an altercation involving a gun.

The incident happened at about 3:15 p.m. Thursday.

According to HPD, a police sergeant witnessed a fight on the side of the road and pulled over to investigate. As the sergeant got closer, he heard a gunshot and identified a 27-year-old man on a moped as the possible shooter.

The sergeant pursued the suspect on the moped and stopped him nearby.

An investigation revealed that a 28-year-old man, located at the scene, showed up with a gun first and handed it over to the 27-year-old man.

The two men were arrested for terroristic threatening, reckless endangering, and gun charges.
