An 85-year-old man who was found floating in waters off Magic Island has died.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office has identified the victim as Victor Decarlo of Honolulu.
According to the Honolulu Emergency Services Department, Decarlo was swimming when he apparently went under water Monday afternoon.
Decarlo was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
An autopsy performed Tuesday revealed that the cause of death was salt water drowning.
The medical examiner has ruled the death as an accident.
