A Puna woman was arrested after she allegedly pointed a gun in the direction of an elementary school in the Hawaiian Beaches subdivision Thursday morning.
According to Big Island police, Keoneopoko Elementary School was placed on lockdown as a precaution.
Police arrested 49-year-old Lokelani Lenore Harbrecht-Kalua on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.
She was taken to the Hilo police cellblock while detectives continue the investigation.
No injuries were reported.
The school lifted the lockdown after the suspect was arrested.
