A 60-year-old man who went diving off Molokai Thursday was medically evacuated to Oahu.
The Coast Guard received a call regarding a diver who experienced symptoms of decompression sickness after a dive and needed medical assistance.
A Coast Guard flight surgeon evaluated the symptoms and recommended an immediate medical evacuation to the nearest decompression chamber.
Sector Honolulu launched an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point to the scene.
The man was safely hoisted and transferred to Kuakini Health Systems in Honolulu.
