A sewer line blockage is to blame for the smelly odor lingering in the DFS Galleria Waikiki building.
It’s a story KHON2 first brought you last Thursday.
At the time DFS Hawaii refused to comment on the story.
On Sept. 2, the company provided KHON2 with answers.
The blockage happened last Tuesday and at least eight deodorizing machines have been placed on the ground floor to help with the odor.
DFS Hawaii said the problem should be resolved in a couple of days.
