It’s a sad lesson for some kindergarten students at Pauoa Elementary School.
They were taking part in a gardening project, learning how to raise their own vegetables.
Their garden was ruined by vandals.
“They were finally taking ownership. They would call it their babies. They would say, ‘Bye babies! See you tomorrow. See you Monday,’” Pauoa Elementary School teacher Jeanne Oliveira said. “So, I think for them it was a sense of a life lesson. And how precious life is.”
The teachers are asking for parents’ help in restarting the project and to find whoever is responsible for the vandalism.
