Honolulu police are looking for Bruce Zalonka who’s wanted on two warrants.
“On March 2, 2013 at 3:52pm, an officer observed a vehicle parked on the side of the road at North Nimitz Highway, thought that the vehicle was stopped, saw a male in the driver’s seat, ran a check and found the vehicle had been stolen. Upon his approach, the male took off on foot. a struggle ensued. The male had a backpack. He was trying to reach into the backpack to retrieve an item. Other officers came, the male was detained and identified as Zalonka, and his backpack was searched and a gun was found fully loaded,” Honolulu Police sergeant Kim Buffett said.
Zalonka was arrested for several firearm violations, for breaking into a car, and resisting arrest.
He’s now wanted on two warrants totaling $100,000 for not showing up for trial call last week.
Bruce Zalonka is 44-years-old, 5’11″, and 170 pounds.
“He has 13 prior convictions and is known to frequent the Honolulu and Mililani areas,” Sgt. Buffett said.
