Emergency vehicles were parked next to Honolulu Hale Saturday, not because of an emergency but for the city’s first-ever First Responders Fair.
Kids and adults could check out the vehicles, the police helicopter, and the bomb squad robot.
Also at the fair, local artists painted fire safety messages.
“If you make one small mistake, like anyone could have a kitchen fire or house fire and we’re just trying to help prevent that,” Roosevelt High School student Miku Sewell said.
The works of art will be displayed at fire stations across the island in October as part of fire prevention week.
