Citizens gather for candlelight vigil on Syria

The conflict in Syria drew dozens to hold a candlelight vigil in Oahu Monday night.

About 30 people from the group gathered near Kahala Mall.

They are opposed to the U.S. taking military action against Syria.

“We’re gathered here as a group today as’s organizational effort to help prevent us getting into another quagmire, stuck in another war that’s unwinnable, in an area that doesn’t want us, with the people who though they need help, this isn’t the right answer,” said Darin Padula, who is opposed to military action on Syria.

President Barack Obama is working to gain Congressional and public support for military action against Syria for its use of chemical weapons.
