Firefighters respond to brush fire in East Oahu

Honolulu firefighters responded to a report of a brush fire in East Oahu.

The fire was reported shortly before 3 p.m. Monday.

Fire officials say less than an acre was burned.

Honolulu police closed a portion of Kalanianaole Highway from Kealahou Street to the Blowhole.

The highway was reopened at about 4:30 p.m.

The fire investigator is looking into the cause of the fire.
