A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a car at the Windward City Shopping Center.
The incident happened at about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Honolulu police say the woman in her 30s had just finished working out at the 24-Hour Fitness when the car came towards her.
“We learned from witnesses that a male driver in his late 40s was driving through the shopping center when he may have been having a medical condition, struck three parked cars, continued on and struck a pedestrian, who we learned had just come out of a 24 Hour Fitness,” HPD Lt. Robert Towne said.
The car continued on and struck a fence on Aumoku Street.
The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver suffered serious injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
