Shriners Hospitals for Children celebrates 90th birthday

Shriner’s Hospitals for Children celebrated its 90th birthday Saturday with a party for the community.  There were hospital tours, educational games and prizes for the keiki, as well as anime demonstrations.

Among the musical performers at the event was Bobby Ingano, a 2013 Na Hoku Hanohano Award recipient for Best Instrumental Album of the Year, and a former Shriners patient.

Shriners officially opened its doors in 1923, and so far has served more than 30,000 children with orthopaedic conditions.
