Veterans Affair Secretary Eric Shinseki met with leaders at the University of Hawaii Manoa campus on Tuesday.
He was there to talk about the new Vet Success program on campus.
They also discussed the historic post 9/11 GI bill and initiatives to help student veterans and their families graduate and find good jobs.
“We are very proud of you for getting into the schools you’ve gotten in to and we look forward to your success, but graduation is very much a part of the program,” Shinseki said.
The post GI bill has helped about one million people since its inception in 2009.
