Big Island man charged with terroristic threatening after firing gun

Big Island police have charged the man arrested in connection with the discharge of a firearm in the Mountain View area Sunday afternoon.

At 1:55 p.m. Monday, detectives charged Falaniko N. Himphill of Mountain View with first-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree reckless endangering, and ownership prohibited.

He is being held at the Hilo police cellblock in lieu of $21,000 bail pending his initial court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.
