A Board of Water Supply crew will continue to repair a broken 6-inch waterline that feeds a fire hydrant on Nimitz Highway between Alakea Street and Bishop Street from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.
The overnight waterline repair work will involve replacing a portion of the waterline and requires the closure of two Ewa-bound traffic lanes on Nimitz Highway between Alakea Street and Bishop Street.
Motorists are advised to please exercise caution while driving through the work area and to use alternate travel routes if possible.
The work will finalize repairs to the 6-inch waterline that broke on Sunday.
BWS crews have scheduled work during off-peak traffic hours to minimize the impact on area motorists and businesses.
