Action Line: Hickam Federal Credit Union phone scheme

phone scheme

Our Action Line department has received several complaints about a new scheme to steal personal information.

Here’s how it works.

Residents get a phone call from someone pretending to be from Hickam Federal Credit Union.

The message is that something is wrong with your credit or debit card, and in order to fix it, you have to input your card number.

But the credit union says don’t fall for it because it’s a ploy to get your information.

Viewers say they’ve received the calls, even though they are not customers of Hickam Federal Credit Union.
