Man arrested for impersonating US Marshal

Honolulu police responded to a bizarre incident at a Waikiki hotel early Sunday morning.

Two security guards at Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach got a noise complaint, so they went to one of the rooms to check it out.

At the room, police say the suspect told the security guards he’s a U.S. Marshal and then he tried to arrest the security guards.

Police arrived and arrested the suspect on suspicion of impersonating an officer and terroristic threatening.

The suspect is a 35-year-old man from Waikoloa on the Big Island.
