Kauai police are searching for the man who robbed the Bank of Hawaii in Kapaa Wednesday afternoon.
The suspect is described as a male in his 30s and about 5’10”. He was wearing a dark-colored pullover sweatshirt with a large white emblem on the front, blue jeans, slippers, and a dark baseball cap at the time of the incident.
The robbery occurred shortly before 1 p.m. at the Bank of Hawaii on Kuhio Highway in Kapaa.
According to detectives, the man walked into the bank, passed a note to the teller stating that he had a gun, and demanded money. He then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
