Dozens of people lined up to buy new condos in the Ward area Thursday night, even though there’s been no official announcement.
On Thursday, a line began to form of people who are jumping at the chance to buy a unit at Anaha and Waiea.
There were about 50 people waiting in tents.
Developer Howard Hughes will not comment on the reported condo sales until it releases a notice to the public.
“I’ve never experienced something where people sitting and waiting in line and camping out overnight just for the ability to possibly purchase a unit in a building that’s not going to be up for at least 24 months. I just think it’s incredible,” prospective buyer Matthew Jacobson said.
Those in line say they hear the units are state-of-the-art, luxurious properties and could go up for sale on Friday.
