Several Makiki students received a different kind of lesson on Thursday.
Peer educators from Roosevelt High School paid a special visit to Stevenson Middle School to talk to the students about bullying.
Their main mission is to help students recognize the signs of bullying.
“Before on Facebook, I got cyber bullied and it hurt me a lot. And I just wanted to just tell the bully that they should stop, but I was too scared,” Stevenson Middle School seventh grade student Rachel Kim said.
Officials say they’re also doing this to bring attention to the necessity of peer education programs, which they say has been dying over the past few years.
