Saint Louis High School has announced that the legendary Cal Lee will return as head coach of the Crusaders.
He replaces Matt Wright, who was let go after two seasons.
In 20 years, the 67-year-old Lee won 14 Prep Bowl titles and one state title at Saint Louis. He’s also the winningest coach in Hawaii history with 241 victories.
Lee spent the last two seasons on the staff of Kalani High School, helping guide the Falcons to its first-ever playoff berth.
His brother, Ron, will join him as offensive coordinator.
Over the last six seasons, the Crusaders have had four head coaches.
Sources tell KHON2 that Saint Louis graduate Craig Stutzman and former University of Hawaii assistant Dennis McKnight were also up for the job.
