Maui police say an autopsy will be conducted on a California tourist who died Monday while snorkeling.
Police say 61-year-old Michael Loughran, of Napa, was snorkeling off the Kaanapali Beach Club when he was caught in a strong current.
He had problems swimming back to shore, so a kayaker helped rescue him.
Once he got to the beach, he collapsed and died.
The autopsy will help determined his cause of death.
