Honolulu’s top cop will remain in his position for another five years.
The Honolulu Police Commission appointed Honolulu Police Chief Louis Kealoha to a second, five-year term.
The commission says its unanimous decision to offer the reappointment was based on Chief Kealoha’s performance, which “exceeded expectations.”
Chief Kealoha has held his position since Nov. 2009. He’s been an HPD officer since 1983.
