A popular local eatery is giving back to the community.
L & L is collecting cans of food for the Hawaii Foodbank.
The agency says its current inventory can only supply about eight or nine days. It usually has a 20-day supply.
On Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon, L & L gave away free saimin burgers to anyone who donated five cans of food.
“So hopefully we can collect maybe about 10 cases of food. In fact, we talked to some of our vendors like Y. Hata, Best Food, and also Love’s Bakery and they will deliver more food for us later on,” said Eddie Flores, president and CEO of L & L Hawaiian Barbecue.
L & L says it will continue to collect donations for the Hawaii Foodbank.
