If you’re looking for a Valentine’s Day gift, you may want to stop by Honolulu Community College.
On Friday, students will be selling copper and silver sheet metal roses.
Students in the Sheet Metal and Plastics Technology program started making the roses on Tuesday.
“We are raising the money to students can use that money to buy material for their final project, so they can take it home. So they are paying for their own final project,” said Danny Aiu, Honolulu Community College.
The roses take about three days to create and 20 minutes to assemble.
The sheet metal roses are priced at $5 and the copper ones are priced at $15.
They will be sold on Friday — on a first-come, first-served basis — starting at 9:30 a.m. until they sell out.
