The morning commute for drivers in Kaimuki should be smoother on Thursday.
A contractor fixed a damaged road on Waialae Avenue after KHON2 told them how it was damaging cars.
The dip near 12th Avenue was caused because the layer beneath the surface was too wet before they put the top layer on.
The weight of vehicles then pushed down part of the road.
The dip was fixed Monday night, but the far right east-bound lane on Waialae Avenue stayed closed Wednesday for the asphalt to harden.
The lane reopened Thursday morning.
At last check, four people filed claims for damaged cars.
