More than 20,000 people hit the pavement bright and early Monday morning for the Great Aloha Run.
The race began along Ala Moana Blvd. fronting Aloha Tower Marketplace, continued down Nimitz and Kamehameha Hwys. and finished at Aloha Stadium.
Monday’s weather was cloudy with scattered showers, making the eight-mile journey a wet one for runners.
This year marks the 30th anniverary of the Great Aloha Run, which raises $400,000 annually for various community initiatives.
