Scientists monitor entangled whale in Kona

Whale 2-17

Scientists with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association are keeping an eye on a whale off Kona.

They say it’s entangled in some debris.

Crews went out today to try to catch it but it got away.

Howeverthey did manage to get a tracking device on it.

If they get a strong signal from the device they may try to rescue it again on Tuesday.
