A bill that would charge Oahu residents for trash pickup is the focus of a City Council meeting Wednesday.
The City Administration proposed a plan to establish a $10 monthly user fee, which it says would make the service more efficient.
The City says, it costs more than $50 a month per location to pick up the trash.
The money will go to upgrading the equipment and improving the quality of service.
If passed, the new fee would begin next January.
The City Council meeting begins at 10 a.m.
