Thursday will be your last day to take advantage of Uber Honolulu’s three free taxi rides per person valued at up to $25.
The transportation mobile app known for its black car service recently partnered with local taxi drivers and cab companies in the Honolulu area to launch Uber Taxi, a cashless transportation service that charges customers using their credit card on file.
“The goal is to change the way people get around in the city to make it easy and not have to worry about getting from point A to point B,” said Tommy Pierucki of Uber Honolulu.
Some riders may be picked up by professional surfers Jamie O’Brien, Makua Rothman or Kala Alexander, who are randomly dropping in on Uber Taxi rides this week.
Uber says it has hundreds of drivers and average about 30-40 customers on a busy night.
