Honolulu police conduct overnight sweep, more than 130 arrested

Honolulu police made a lot of arrests and gave out a lot of tickets overnight, all part of a planned “zero-tolerance” sweep.

Police arrested 137 people for all sorts of offenses, majority of them contempt warrants plus drunk driving and driving without a license.

They also gave out a total of 208 citations — including park closure citations and for not wearing seat belts.

Officers focused mainly in the downtown through Waikiki areas.
