9-year-old becomes Honolulu Zoo’s youngest donor

A nine-year-old is now the youngest person to donate money to the Honolulu Zoo.

According to the Honolulu Zoo Society, Siena Spagnoli raised $150 this winter at Le Jardin Academy’s holiday craft fair by selling her innovative “Chalk It Up Gear,” custom trucker hats and thought bubbles that can be written on like chalkboards.

The money will be given to the Honolulu Zoo’s Conservation Committee to help endangered species both locally and around the world.
