Early education will be the hot topic at the State Capitol Tuesday.

There are a couple of early education bills up for decision.

One would make kindergarten mandatory. If passed it would take effect july first.

The other authorizes the executive office on early learning to enter into agreements with the department of education and public charter schools for use of vacant or underutilized classrooms as public preschool classrooms.

Decisions are expected today on both bills at 11 a.m. in room 308.
