A perplexing traffic sign near Honolulu International Airport caught the attention of one of our viewers.

The sign, which has been posted on the road leading into the airport since last month, warned drivers that their speed was being monitored by “lazer.”

Yes, that’s “lazer” with a “z.”

KHON2 notified the Dept. of Transportation of the error and crews fixed the sign Thursday.

Officials says it cost about $40 to replace the “z” with an “s.”
