Both Honolulu police and fire departments are investigating a building fire in Mapunapuna. The alarm came in at around 5 a.m. Tuesday on Ahua St.
Fire officials say a van was on fire near a building when crews arrived on the scene and the heat radiated to combustible boxes in the warehouse.
Authorities say damage was estimated at $12,500 and limited to the outside of the J&J Autoworks building.
Honolulu police have opened an arson investigation, although fire officials say it will take a day or two to determine if the fire was intentionally set.
