Less than a week after appearing in court for a Manoa harassment case, Yama Fazzari was back in court Tuesday. This time, he’s charged with a felony, accused of threatening to harm a pregnant woman and her husband at Ala Moana Center last Wednesday.

According to prosecutors, the woman screamed for help and police arrested Fazzari a couple blocks away.

The victims told police the attack was unprovoked.

“He walked right up into her face,” said Honolulu police detective Ernest Robello. “She said he got within about five inches from her face, like right up to where she had to stop. His shoulders were bobbing up and down, his hands were clenched and he seemed to be angry or agitated.”

“I completely dispute everything that was said by the officer,” countered defense attorney Noel Tipon. “What you heard in there, what the testimony was in there, was all hearsay.”

Fazzari is scheduled to be arraigned in court on March 17. He remains in police custody on $25,000 bail.
