Advisory: More jets in Kaneohe Bay for deployment

Residents may notice an increase in the number of jets in the Kaneohe Bay area beginning Tuesday.

Officials say F/A-18 Hornet will transit the Pacific from the mainland for a six-month deployment to Japan.

The planes stop at Marine Corps Air Station for fuel, maintenance and crew rest

F/A-18 Hornets with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 122 arrive in Hawaii on Tuesday, March 4 and depart Thursday, March 6.

A second squadron of jets from Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232 will arrive March 11 and depart March 13 as Marines transit to California after a six-month deployment in Japan.
