Former UH football star wide receiver Davone Bess has been released by the Cleveland Browns.
The move was expected after a pattern of disturbing behavior during the off-season by Bess, who spent just one season with Cleveland after being traded last April.
Bess was arrested in January for allegedly assaulting a firefighter in Florida. The arrest came just days after he Tweeted a picture showcasing what appeared to be marijuana and alcohol.
The 28-year-old finished his first season in Cleveland with 42 catches for 362 yards and two touchdowns.
Also WR Brian Tyms and LB Paul Hazel have been released from the team.
