A bill has been sent to the owner of the home whose retaining wall collapsed on Diamond Head Rd. last month.
According to the Dept. of Planning and Permitting, the owner will have to pay about $5,000 for the cleanup work the city had to do after the wall came crashing down.
A notice of violation was also issued, but the owner has until mid-May to come up with a design for the new wall and to get a building permit. If everything is completed on time, the city says the owner will not be fined.
The city will also work with the owner to make sure the new wall is up to present-day standards.
