Lifeguards have removed warning signs at Pokai Bay after a shark sighting.

Just before noon, lifeguards spotted a 5-foot aggressive reef shark eating fish approximately 10 feet from shore. The water was cleared and signs were posted.

At around 3:30 p.m., a reassessment found no shark in the area and the signs were removed.
