A brown water advisory is being issued for a portion of Honokahua Bay due to heavy rains Thursday night.
Dept. of Health officials say slack tides have taken the turbid brown water out to sea, so most of the bay is not impacted by the brown water discharge.
The public is advised to stay out of flood waters and storm water runoff due to possible overflowing cesspools, sewer manholes, pesticides, animal fecal matter, dead animals, pathogens, chemicals, and associated flood debris. If coastal waters are turbid and brown, stay out.
