Hawaii’s Most Wanted: Elijah Gusman

Honolulu police are looking for Elijah Gusman.

“The complainant was sitting at the bus stop on Kuhio Ave when he was approached by Gusman who asked if he could use his cell phone.” Crimestoppers Sgt. Kim Buffett said.

He handed his phone over.. But Gusman refused to give it back, then took off with the phone.

“On April 28th, 2011 at about 2:30 p.m., the complainant was at the same bus stop, playing his ukulele, when Gusman grabbed the ukulele and fled on foot. The complainant this time flagged down an officer and reported both incidents.” Buffett said.

Police found Gusman on Lemon Road in Waikiki, and arrested him for robbery.

He’s now wanted on two warrants totaling $61,000 for not showing up for his probation review hearing last November.

Elijah Gusman is 21 years old, 5-11, and 147 pounds.

“Gusman’s known to frequent the Waianae and Waikiki areas.” Buffett said.
