A major roadwork project officially kicked off Tuesday along Mililani’s busiest road.
The city broke ground on its repaving project of Meheula Parkway.
Crews are starting at the bottom of Meheula near Lanikuhana Avenue and will be working their way towards the freeway for a total of 31 miles.
“Meheula Parkway is a major roadway in Central Oahu that is heavily utilized, not only by residents, but also by others from across the island,” Honolulu City Council member Ron Menor.
The project is schuduled to be finished by the end of the year.
Until then, expect some lane closures along Meheula Parkway.
The cost of the project was just over $13.7 million.
