Last November, Typhoon Haiyan devastated the Philippines. Since the disaster, a locally based group has been working to help the victims.

The Consuelo Foundation continues to raise money for rebuilding efforts in both major population centers and rural areas of the Philippines. So far, it has raised more than $2 million to build a community and job center.

“We realize when people give, they open their hearts up, but they know the things that come about because of their gifts,” said Connie Lau of the Consuelo Foundation.
