Police find vehicle in Waimalu hit-and-run

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department have found the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run in Waimalu that left a man in critical condition.

On March 8, at 12:24 a.m., police say a man attempted to cross Kamehameha Hwy. at Hekaha St. when he was struck by an unknown driver who fled the scene.

Thanks to a tip, officers found the vehicle, a 1994 Ford Explorer, parked on Waimano Home Rd. and recovered it as evidence. Police say damages are consistent with the collision.
